주님은 우리가 어느 특정한 죄 또는 불완전함을

얼마나 성공적으로 극복하였는지 결코 묻지 않으신다.

​오히려 '너는 살아가면서 이러한 죄의 신비를 겸손하고 참을성 있게 받아들였는가?

​너는 그것을 어떻게 대하였는가?

​그로 인해 인내하고 겸손해지는 법을 배웠는가?

​그로 인해 너 자신의 능력이 아니라 나의 사랑을 신뢰하는 법을 배웠는가?

​그로 인해 다른 사람의 삶에서 죄의 신비를 더 잘 이해할 수 있게 되었는가?' 하고 물으신다.

The Lord will never ask how successful we were in overcoming a particular vice, sin, or imperfection.

He will ask us,

“Did you humbly and patiently accept this mystery of iniquity in your life?

How did you deal with it?

Did you learn from it to be patient and humble?

Did it teach you to trust not your own ability but My love?

Did it enable you to understand better the mystery of iniquity

in the lives of others? 

Our lack of perfection will never separate us from God because the Lord’s forgiveness is always perfect and total.
